A Band of Tempos
In 2017, Twenty One Pilots is a common answer from my students when I ask them what bands do they like. There was a time Green day was the most requested. Modern bands don’t tend to stay on top for long. When I was a kid, the only bands you heard were from friends, the radio, or MTV. Now a band can get noticed world wide through YouTube or social media. Young musicians are also fairly eclectic with his or her musical choice. This I am sure is also because of the internet. Parents also play a big role in what kids grow up liking. I was raised on country music, spent twenty years playing metal, but I came back to country.
No Guitar
“Heathens” doesn’t have much or any guitar, but it can still be played on one. In fact, almost any song played on any instrument can be played on guitar.

I also play all three version at multiple tempos against a metronome to serve as a play along track.
