How It Works
Note groups of four is another common sequence used by many styles of guitarists. In this example, I’m using an E minor pentatonic.
Start with the first note of the scale and play four notes from that note. For Example, the notes in the E minor pentatonic are E, G, A, B, and D.
With note groups of four, the notes would end up like this:
E, G, A, and B.
G, A, B, and D.
A, B, D, and E.
B, D, E, and G.
D, E, G, and A.
E, G, A, and B.
Picking your style.
Alternate picking, Economy picking, Hybrid picking, and a Hammer on/Pull off technique would work well with note groups of four.
I personally prefer Alternate Pick and the Hammer on/Pull off technique for note groups of four.

I play through the note groups of four sequence one section at a time.
